Hi there! I am a mommy to three, a coffee lover, and I love to plan. The road to being successful in my planner has been a bumpy one. I started planning with the idea that my planner had to look like the fancy ones you see on instagram and pinterest. Boy oh boy was I wrong. Those planners are beautiful, but as I mentioned, I am a mommy to three, so the things I needed in my planner was a world different from what I saw in pictures. I stay at home with my children, so I use my planner for things like menu planning, doctors appointments, therapy appointments, and daily chores that I can not forget. In this blog post, I will be showing you my planner of choice, and hopefully inspire you to make your planner what you want it to be. There are no rules as to what your planner looks like, the only rule, is that it is functional as to what you need it to be, and I have found that I can decorate it to my hearts content and it actually makes me want to pull it out every morning to see what I have in store for the day.
This is my planner. It is a happy planner. Some people refer to it as a mambi planner. I tried quite a few planners before settling into this one as my absolute go to. I found mine at Hobby Lobby quite a few months back, and where I live, that was pretty exciting in itself because no one really carries planners around here. It wasn't terribly expensive, and a perfect size to slide into my purse when I was heading out the door with the kids.
A blank slate at the beginning of every week makes my heart skip a beat. So many possibilities!! This is what my planner looks like bare. No stickers, no page flags, no pen, just peaceful! I love the layout of this planner, and the customization available is endless.
I am using stickers from xo.mamaplans. She has a wonderful shop on etsy that I purchased these stickers from. Her paper quality is amazing, and shipping is very fast. I included a picture of her business card, please go check her out!
Here is a look at my planner before I added any decorational stickers, just page flags, to do stickers, and checklists. Now for the fun part!!
This part for me, is not only fun, but it also makes the tasks I have to do thru the week more enjoyable ! All the stickers I have used are matte stickers, and are very easy to write on. I love the pop of spring color this kit brings to my otherwise grey planner pages. With spring right around the corner, it helps to have a little color in an otherwise gloomy weather forecast here in Ohio! I hope you have enjoyed a peek in my planner, and I hope to have a follow up post showing you what it looks like when I hit it with my pen and fill in all the craziness for the week. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, I will be happy to help, and until next time, Happy Planning :)
